Well I see I have not blogged for a while so.....

You can see in this photo that we are still playing ice hockey in Jeddah.... We played last Friday and had fun, again. :) You might note that I am starting to loose the Minnesota white and am darkening up here in the Jeddah sun. It has been in the low 100's here this past week and the sun is still shining. It actually is bearable, believe it or not. There is usually a slight breeze and if you are in the shade it is cooler.
I have been substitute teaching at the American International School of Jeddah next to the compound. I have been called in six times in the last two weeks. They will be going on summer break here at the end of May and then I will be filling in for a couple of ladies who work here on compound and will be going back to the states during the summer months. It keeps me busy.... :)
Kids are kids and I have had the pleasure of working in the special education department at the school with some 1st graders and a few older students who need just a bit more attention. I also got to fill in for a 5th grade teacher and an 8th grade teacher..... some of the funny tidbits from being a substitute.... one of the special education students decided my name should be Zoomba..... he likes me .... just thinks I should be Zoomba..... I am alright with that... Ha!  One day the 1st grade students were filling out their daily class calender and thought that since someone on the playground saw a little cloud in the sky they should call it a cloudy day.... debate ensued.....they really get bored with posting sunny all the time.... what a problem .... poor kids..... LOL!!!
The other day I taught the 8th grade science students...... I had a prince in one of my classes..... their are several in the royal family here in country ..... but now I can say I taught on of the royals....
Tomorrow we may go to another beach, one we have not been too, which is a gated western beach..... this means I do not have to wear an Abayah to swim in. Ha! Well, our neighbor just stopped over for a visit so I will end this now.... God Bless!!!!
