Just waiting on Tim's return from his first day of class in Denver. He is in training for a part of his new job over in Saudi. I flew into DIA Saturday afternoon to join him for the week he is here in training. He will be leaving for Saudi next week. We are both excited about our "Great Adventure". I will try to keep this blog as a tool to allow its readers to get a glimpse of what we will see and do getting ready for and living in Saudi Arabia. Once Tim is over in Jeddah, the Saudi government will issue him his in country paperwork. When that is all processed I will get to join him in Jeddh. Yeah! We have committed to two years but may extend if we like it. :) Right now we are enjoying the Front Range in Colorado and old friends while Tim studies up. He is really enjoying his new job so far. We found out that one of our friends here has a member of her family that retired from the company Tim is now working for. Small world isn't it. :)

Well.... I woke Tim up way to early this morning thinking he was in a different time zone....ooops...... and I called him way to late, not realizing I had been surfing so long..... ooops....... hope he gets his sleep sometime. :) He did not seem to really mind.... love that guy!

I took this picture a few weeks back after I received my new Abaya for Saudi.... this is part of the new adventure.... Women are required to were these in public.... I will not have to wear it on the compound or some locations that I will learn more about.... quite a new look for me. :)

2nd day and Tim loves his new job.....:) He went to the space museum in Huntsville and enjoyed looking at old spy planes and one of the shuttles..... he wore a short sleeved shirt as he walked around a lake mall..... he went for a 3 mile run.... oh yeah he did go to work for a little while.... :) I shoveled snow and went nowhere as everything is iced over and it is hazardous road conditions.... hmmmm ..... I had a good day and so did he. Really! :)

It has started.

January 22nd.... Tim is off on the start of our new journey.... I watched him calmly stand and wave me on as I pulled away from the front of the Kahler Hotel in downtown Rochester. He was catching a shuttle to the Minneapolis Airport. His flight had been cancelled from Chicago to Alabama because of weather in Chicago so the airline rerouted him on a flight out of the cities to Ft. Worth and then onto Huntsville.... He caught his shuttle and arrived and waited until that flight was cancelled. He was then rerouted again onto a different airline which took him through Charlotte, NC and then onto Huntsville. All in all he will still arrive at his destination around the same time he was originally expected to arrive. :) He is still smiling.... I am impressed and we are into the Great Adventure!
